The Puglia DOC consortium was founded in 1999 by a group of businessman who,led by Dr.Raffaele De Santis, were inspired by their common passion and strong links with their land – Puglia.
The Consortium Puglia DOC brings together numerous companies and operators in the tourism sector, from gourmet wine and foods to the local traditional products from all over Puglia, with the aim of shining a light on the splendid resources of Puglia and making the image of the region more widely known on a world-wide level by means of a discovery of the colours, notes, images, flavours, tastes and emotions of our land. In particular, the consortium is composed of operators in Puglia who manage hospitality structures and connected tourist services, catering and restaurant businesses, production and marketing of local food products and local handicrafts, all of a high standard.
